Over the past 20 years, the Internet has evolved from a simple “curiosity” into a phenomenon that has impacted every aspect of our society, profoundly transforming organizations, services, professions, and of course, our everyday lives.

Any company, regardless of size or sector, must understand what is happening in order to leverage the Web and become truly competitive through its digital presence.

With the Web now in our pockets and on our wrists, people are constantly connected.

In just one minute, 67,000 photos are uploaded to Instagram, 433,000 tweets are written, more than 50,000 iPhone apps are downloaded, 306 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube, and 3,400 images are added to Pinterest.

More and more, we use the Internet to ask questions, express preferences, connect, and shop.

The opportunity to transform into “digital companies” means creating a continuously open communication channel with one’s audience and potential customers. Now it is possible to tell your story to anyone, making your products and services known to a much wider audience.

But for many companies, understanding the challenges posed by the Internet and “becoming digital” is neither simple nor immediate.

The Rope is a web agency founded in Milan in 2011, initially focused on building websites. Year after year, however, we noticed that our clients’ needs were evolving. Often, going online with a website immediately raised new challenges: How do I attract more traffic? Where do I find users for my e-commerce? How do I develop a strategy more effective than my competitors’?

We have worked with startups and established companies alike. Their challenges differ, but it has become increasingly clear that technology is evolving at a pace difficult for most organizations to manage.

Along the way, we decided to expand our skills and grow our team to better serve the companies we work with every day.

From business strategy to project execution, we aim to help our clients by creating online products and services that make their brand known, reach new users, and increase sales.

Our support goes beyond the traditional “client–supplier” relationship. We believe it is important to share with as many people as possible what we learn every day. Starting in the coming weeks, we will also use this blog to share best practices, technical advice, and stories about our evolution.

In the meantime, you can explore our services at this link or follow us on Facebook, X, and Instagram.
